A window to perceive your hapiness...

If you live in New York, London, Rome, Paris, Berlin...and never came to South America.., there is a beautiful train ride in the tropical rain forest. An experience that takes you out of everyday routine and it's cheap. There are flights to Brazil from everywhere and all you need is a camera, memory cards. If you prefer, camcorders record sound of nature and local people attitudes. Also binoculars, a sportive wear, rain coat, portable umbrella, sandals, soft summer shoes are recommended.
But that's your luggage...you don't need more than that because weather use to be hot, or warm. At least a tropical shower, or rain could slow down temperatures a little and where a sweater is recommended. There is not so much danger about malaria or other tropical diseases and you don't need to worry so much about . Nevertheless vaccines are recommended for Amazon area.
You have to exchange money arriving in Brazil. The easiest way are US dollars or Euros. Lots of expenses can be paid with credit cards. Travel checks are unfortunately not so practical and accepted in Brazil, in spite of being safer. Rent a car also allows payments by credit cards. Visa and Master Card are the most accepted, as well as American Express.
This train ride is in south of Brazil...Be welcome at www.carroexecutivo.com and book.

If you like to hike, have adventures, look at this: http://www.brazadv.com/mapas/mapa_curitiba_parana.htm. The forest shows you a huge variety of plants, flowers. At train end station, colonial villages, good typical local food, nice and friendly people.
If you prefer just see it from a window crossing the forest, and prefer an English/German/Spanish speaking guide, send an e-mail: kaestnerlotar@hotmail.com . See also more details at: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=313731http://www.serraverdeexpress.com.br

You arrive by train, after a 3 hours journey departing from Curitiba, at Morretes town. There a typical food, called Barreado, is served with fresh bananas, manioc or cassava flower. And to help after lunch....a good localy made brandy, or Brazilian typical drink "CAIPIRINHA"http://claudia.abril.com.br/receitas/253879/ . Good hotels in Curitiba city makes your stay comfortable. The ecological model city in South America is connected to Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires airports.
Traveling to different locations, sometimes, helps us to realize how happy and fortunate we are. Daily routine blocks us frequently to perceive that by ourselves.
